Mother’s Day Garden Bouquet - Missoula, Montana

Happy Mother’s Day to me - and you! - from our very own little Missoula spring garden! (Even a few of those persistent carrotty frondy weeds came in handy as lovely filler!)  
May our hearts seek to find pieces toward a veritable bouquet of gratitude, even as we walk through struggle, and are waiting for strength again.

Wild Rose, Present and Future, Missoula, Montana

The wild rose has been among my favourite flowers since childhood. A delicate blossom housing an honest, old-world rose fragrance, Rosa acicularis is the Provincial Flower of Alberta, Canada. I remember breathing their scent during childhood summer rambles, braving prickles to pick short-stemmed, miniature bouquets for my mum or big sisters, who always found a small glass or a teacup.

Still Feeling the Love, Hamilton, Montana


I’m still enjoying my Valentine roses (pink is for beauty or happiness, I've been told - well, that & they were out of red, but what do I care?), & a mushy card written with love, love, love. Every day I think a thankful, “Pinch me…I never thought I could be so blessed…” .
