Power Drain - Missoula, Montana

"A fresh mind keeps the body fresh. Take in the ideas of the day, drain off those of yesterday. As to the morrow, time enough to consider it when it becomes today." Edward G. Bulwer-Lytton (1803-1873)

Still Treads - Missoula, Montana

"It is wonderful how much time good people spend fighting the devil. If they would only expend the same amount of energy loving their fellow men, the devil would die in his own tracks of ennui." - Helen Keller (1880-1968)

Way to go,Helen, for so concisely (& cleverly!) stating one of my pet peeves! Let's choose to talk about what is true and worthwhile, and focus our efforts that direction.

Blue Sky Expectation - Missoula, Montana

"I love life.
There's so much to learn and see all the time, and nothing nicer for me than to wake up, and the sky is blue."
- Patti Boyd

Skies today over Muratuwa, Sri Lanka, are on the hazy side, but we have great expectation. See our latest trip update at JourneysWithGod.com .

Snow Cone - Missoula, Montana

"Advice is like snow - the softer it falls, the longer it dwells upon, and the deeper in sinks into the mind."
 - Samuel Taylor Coleridge (1772-1834)

Snow, Sun, Big Sky - Missoula, Montana

This winter scene provokes happy Canadian childhood memories of bundling up in snowsuits, scarves, toques, and big boots to play, play, play in the plenteous snow under sunny blue skies.

Let the fort building commence!

(Well, for those of you in snow country, at least.

Parking Lot Bench - Missoula, Montana

And the somewhat mysterious (or not?) object is...a freshly-snowed park bench out in front of Walmart!  (Which is not a very romantic destination for a Valentine's date, in case there was any question of that... )

As much as I try to avoid WalMart, it was decidedly convenient for late-evening last-minute trip necessities. See where our travels take us in Sri Lanka at JourneysWithGod.com .
