Neighborhood Classic, Missoula, Montana

There’s a lot to be said for planned neighborhoods - tidy lawns, curbs and sidewalks, no unsightly wreckage or hog farms. But the interest factor is low to non-existent compared to mixed residential and commercial blocks that sprawled before planning kicked in. I much prefer views that vary in a 5-block ramble - classic autos in a restoration shop, broad old trees shading an irrigation ditch,
custom kitty castles
and brightly blooming garden plots.
