“Don't worry about your originality. You couldn't get rid of it even if you wanted to. It will stick with you and show up for better or worse in spite of all you or anyone else can do.”
Robert Henri
I’m amazed by what level of damage to an old automobile can be restored or replaced: rusted out floorboards that reveal the road passing beneath your feet, strange metal-on-metal noises while driving, radiators with holes, chrome that‘s pitted and dull. Long-gone dreams of grace and speed and usefulness are attainable once again, and the value far surpasses that of when it rolled off the assembly line.
As with classic cars, so it is with we humans. So don’t sell yourself short - your potential is still waiting to be seen. And all the miles you’ve traveled truly just add to your beauty and worth.
