Evening Sky, Sealy Lake, Montana

“Through the wide-open window he could see the evening sky, still grey but faintly luminous and streaked with level cloud. No rain in that sky; only an echo of the peace that held the world in this contented quiet.”
- Josephine Tey, from “The Singing Sands”,
p.27-28

  1. This is a beautiful post--both the captured moment and the quote. Thanks so much for sharing it. I'm going to my library's website right now and reserving this book.

    1. I think you'll enjoy anything by Josephine Tey. After chain-reading three books in her Inspector Grant series, I picked up "brat Farrar", starting it last night - and staying up 'til midnight, wishing I could just read another hour and finish it. But that will be my Friday night treat!
