Snug Meadow - Missoula, Montana

"I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields, that it kisses them so gently? And then it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt; and perhaps it says, "Go to sleep, darlings, till the summer comes again." And when they wake up in the summer, Kitty, they dress themselves all in green, and dance about..." - Alice in Lewis Carroll's Through The  Looking Glass, p. 142

(Yes, observant reader, I've used this quote before; but you must admit it's worthy of repeat!)

The Sri Lanka crew will be cycling around into another set of eye clinics; see the latest update at JourneysWithGod.com .

  1. I had added to my comment that I want to post a story I read recently about Lewis Carroll. but then I deleted it because I just started babysitting for a supply teacher and was not sure at that point if I would be free today. No phone call so far so here it is. thank-you for reminding me about this great little story!

    1. What a perfect poem - you've had an extra-busy posting day! & thanks for the link!
LOVE the passages from Boreham's book! So interesting how Dodgson/Carroll was most at ease in the world of whimsy. I still have my childhood copy of Alice In Wonderland/Through The Looking Glass - only is missing the outer spine cover!
