Today we watched Mr. Smith Goes To Washington. Wow, there are some powerful lines in that movie and oh, yes, we should 'hold our liberty up in front of our faces and look at it with awe,because we have the freedom to think, speak, live! and we should NEVER forget those who fought for what we have!'
Oh, funny - we watched it again just a couple weekends ago, and we were also impressed anew by some of the lines, especially in light of election campaigning. It's one of my all-time favourite movies that I think should be required viewing before every opening season of Congress.
