Ice Sparkle - Grant Creek, Missoula, Montana

One rare sunny day during our latest bitter cold spell, I bravely bundled for a lunch walk and was rewarded with literal sparkling views along Grant Creek, which intersects the industrial neighborhood behind our offices.
The crystalline intricacy is somewhat mesmerizing...next few posts will be of broader shore views, so y'all come back now, y'hear?

Sparkle Rock, Missoula, Montana

Hmmm.... Sparkle Rock could be the name of a zesty girl band. And they could say they were inspired by this week's zesty graphics on the river trail graffiti mural.
Which lends justification to all manner of wardrobe, makeup, and hair accessory fun! Not to mention instrument decor.
The "Rose Is Rose" mom alter ego could totally head up this project!
Any other imaginary nominees?

Descending Fog, I-90 Roadside, Montana

THE fog comes
on little cat feet.

It sits looking
over harbor and city
on silent haunches
and then moves on.

To top off the snow and cold, we've had fog the past couple days.
Arriving at work, I stepped out of my car and felt unseen sparkle on my face, an almost-nothing awakening touch, like that of a baby's fingers exploring a trusted face.
