We are all hungry for this other silence.
It is hard to find. In its presence we can remember something beyond the moment, a strength on which to build a life.
Silence is a place of great power and healing.
Silence is God’s lap.”"
- Rachel Naomi Remen, M.D., from My Grandfather’s Blessings
Silence is God's lap; SO good:)
ReplyDeleteThat was, indeed, the clincher to use this quote!
Delete"Hide me in the cleft of Your rock".
ReplyDeleteNo mention of the photographer's physical position when capturing this shot?
ReplyDeleteA bit of crouchy balancing to keep individual feet on patches of shoreline grass overlaying the firm but muddy bank.... Friend J. standing slightly behind me may have been accidentally moon-struck. (Hah! That just popped in my head! I hope you get it, bcuz it's making me chuckle all on my own right now!)
DeleteI prefer the ignorance of the photographer's physical position after watching a photo shoot too close to the raging Yellowstone River. Great shots, taken, of coure.
