Clearing the Air - Stevensville, Montana

Ahh, the sweet respite brought by much-prayed-for rain! It sounds odd, but after a couple weeks of ubiquitous smoke in shifting densities, I'd become sort of resigned to perpetual head pressure and brain fug. Kind of a frog-in-kettle thing. It's delightful to breathe deep of clean air and to look across the valley and see mountains again. However, we're fervently hoping for more rain.

  1. oh, I'm so glad you got a bit of rain. I can't imagine...esp. as you mentioned earlier...bits of ash dropping like a strange confetti at the wedding!

    1. Strange confetti, indeed! But it was still a beautiful wedding, and the smoke was kind of as if they had a fog machine everywhere - and an aromatic campfire. :-)

  2. Wow--you captured a wildly gorgeous moment in the clouds there, Cyndy! That low-hanging one looks like a winged creature.

Glad you liked it - I actually turned around on the highway to go back for those clouds - so excited at the prospect of more rain!
